My name is Mrs. Andrea McCarthy. I am originally from Corner Brook, and actually graduated from the French Immersion program myself in 2001, so I am very familiar with all of the feelings that the students are going through, and the challenges and rewards of the program. I completed my Bachelor of Arts through Memorial University of Newfoundland with a major in French and a minor in English. I have also completed numerous Science courses, as I have the first two years of a Kinesiology degree complete as well. I went onto complete my Bachelor of Education through Memorial University of Newfoundland as well, and completed two internships during my program, the first in Corner Brook, and the second in Placentia. I am a very active person, and I strongly believe that it is essential to be a part of the extra-curricular programs offered in the school community as well. I am committed to giving your children the best education that I can possibly give them while keeping it fun and interesting too!
